§ Currently the 10 major search engines include:
Google, AltaVista UK, Aeiwa, Alexa, Alltheweb, Euroseek, DirectHit, HotBot, Lycos, Northern Light, SearchIt, Subjex, Wisenut and UKBest50.
Many of these search engines supply their listings to Inktomi, AOL, Excite and Yahoo.
Most of the other search engines now charge up to $300 (US) to list a site.
Others will change you between 1 US cent and 1 US dollar if someone clicks on the link to your site from their listings!!
