How we work together to create your web site
We will work with you to create a web site that is within your budget limits yet meets your important requirements.
Planning Process
Planning the web site is the most important part. It helps to sort the important features from the “nice to haves”. We will discuss the purpose of your web site, what you want to get from it, what you want to say about your business, agree on a style that suits your line of business and help you think about what you do or do not want to include.
Preparatory Work
You can do some preparatory work beforehand:
Start looking at other web sites within your field of business. Start by looking at the web sites of your competitors; you may find some ideas that you could adapt for your web site. Think about the message that you wish to convey to both existing clients and potential clients. These will probably be different messages and will almost certainly need to be phrased differently.
Prioritise what you want to say; the most important statements should come first, the less important can be lower down the page or on another page, and the non-important ones may be better left out if their inclusion will hamper the presentation of the page.
Statement of Requirements
We will put together a document stating your requirements, as we understand them, and a quotation of the costs. We will send you a copy and ask you to agree them, including the price, or send back your comments for amendment.
Once we have an agreement on the requirements, costs and delivery date, we will commence work on your web site.
Subsequent Changes to the Requirements
Should you wish to make changes to the Requirements, there may be an additional cost and an impact on the delivery date. We will inform you of the effect of the changes and get your acceptance before proceeding with them.
Preview of web site
Once the web site has been built we will make it available for you to view via the Internet. This will allow you to see that it has been created in accordance with the agreed Requirements.
Web site goes live on the Internet
Following acceptance by you and payment of any outstanding balance, we will put your web site live on your chosen domain name. At the same time we will commence notifying the major search engines of its existence.
This process may look complicated and protracted, but we try to progress through each step as quickly as possible while still ensuring that we cover all requirements and obtain your full agreement .
